Ha ha. JJ, do you know what mount the Spectrum7 currently has? Were you using it on a different body and if so which one? Sigma, Nikon, Canon, etc. Once you know that then you'll know if it needs an adaptor. Nikon mount to Canon mounting adaptors are pretty common. Your best bet is to take your Spectrum7 to a camera store and get some help across a counter.

Good luck.

Promaster Spectrum 7 isn't a single lens... it's a whole line of lenses, teleconverters, etc. and they made some of these with "Canon" mount... but also made them for Nikon and others. However... even if it is for "Canon" it could be a Canon FD mount.

It's my understanding that these were actually made by Tamron, Sigma, and Cosina.

Just knowing it's a Promaster Spectrum 7 Zoom isn't nearly enough information.

However... if the lens isn't already a Canon "EOS" mount (all electronic contacts - no mechanical levers on the lens body interface) it's probably not worth adapting it to your camera. You lose a lot of control. Most owners are disappointed with the quality of an "adapted" lens.
