I have a 6D mii and want to know if there is a big difference between the 35mm f/1.4L vs the 35mm f/1.4L II? Trying to get the bulk packaging version 1 from amazon since it’s cheaper. Anything I should know?

I most always advise to go with the newest tech you can. So, I would buy the Mk II. However I doubt there is a real world big difference. I love 35mm on a FF camera like the 6D Mk II, And, on a cropper it is a nice "normal" perspective. I, personally, have the Sigma Art 35mm f1.4 another fantastic lens. I believe this is a case where you can't go wrong with any of these choices and my usual opinion is to stick with Canon.

You do know Canon has, or did anyway, another great 35mil? The Canon EF 35mm f/2 IS USM Lens. My experience with this lens is it almost equal to the L in IQ but has IS. I don't own it but I have used it.
