EF 24-70mm 2.8L Mark I USM has weird bokeh on corner when mounted to the EOS R8 body with the Origin

I have an EF 24-70L F2.8 Mark 1 and a Canon EOS R8 Body with a Canon original adapter. Is it characteristic of this lens to have weird Bokeh in the corners of the image? It's just center focused and has a blur ring around the edge of the frame. I'll give you an example below.

I haven't tested the lens on a DSLR yet.

But has anyone experienced the same thing here?

Look at the weird and messy bokeh on the edge of the frame. It looks like fringe but it doesn't seem like fringe.

Do you have lens corrections enabled?

No, lens corrections and other corrections are disabled.

First remove any filter you have on the lens.

You need to do that or at least try the lens on a different camera. This will tell us which is at fault.

Absolutely, try testing the lens on another camera body, and also test a different lens on the R8 to be sure—sometimes eliminating variables is the best way to pinpoint the issue.

What settings are you using?

Btw, when I tried another EF lens on my R8 body there was no problem with sharpness or focus. The bokeh still felt soft not rough like in the example photo.
