Hello, I just recently bought this lens new, and have problems at 100 mm. But when I want to zoom into 300 400 or 500, my photos are noisy beyond repair, even that reasonable, ISO levels and shutter speed. My photos seem to have movement due to low shutter speed, but I shoot at north of 4000 shutter speed on a tripod. In great light, still getting motion, blur and noisy images. in addition, it is incredibly difficult to focus onto simple objects. I tested this in my house with all my lights on, placed a medicine bottle, a continuously increasing distance, and the photos decreased in clarity exponentially as I zoomed in. i’m shooting on my relatively new Canon R8, with all settings, maximized for sports photography. Please help.

#R8 #RF 100-500 F4.5-7.1 IS USM

Absolutely post a sample(s) of what you are seeing and either leave the exif intact or give exact shooting details.

Using a telephoto lens is more than just fast SS and low ISO.

<LI-SPOILER> </LI-SPOILER>
Share some examples of your shots with the EXIF data intact or include the specific shooting details.

When using a telephoto lens, it's not just about having a fast shutter speed and low ISO. There’s more to it than that.

EB EOS 1DX and 1D Mk IV, and fewer lenses than before!

SSM Smart Square
