okanho, welcome to the site.

You mentioned you would like a lens to shoot events and studio-based work which can be very different settings. I single lens can fulfill these but a fixed lens may not be the best solution. I'm sure others will stop by this thread but additional information would be helpful. For the studio work, will you be using studio lighting? Are you going to be shooting portraiture in studio. The events, will they be indoors, outdoors or both.

Personally either way I would opt for lenses that are faster, at least f2.8. If I can afford it I prefer adding faster lenses as they are more versatile. One stop can make difference in having to increase your ISO, noise is not always your friend and creates the need for post production.

I have an R6 II and an RF 100-400 f5.6-8. I want to add one more lens because I also want to shoot events and studio-based work. So I have a confusion about what I should buy. I have options like the RF 24-105 f4, 28-70 f2.8 STM, or buying primes like 35mm 1.8 or 85mm f2. I'm looking for a sharp image and value for money https://tutuapp.uno/ .

What is your budget a prime is more limiting than zoom lens. Is low light a concern of yours or not. Both zoom lenses already cover the 35mm focal length. The 28-70mm F/2.8 STM would be a better choice. The slower the lens aperture the slower the AF system becomes. It will slow down to the point that the camera cannot lock focus. Are you going be using a flash if permitted.

For events buy the fastest wide end zoom that you can afford. Sometimes two cameras is not a bad idea either so you can have two lenses without stopping to change them, But every event is not the same either, a lot of preparation goes into planning your tactics.

Studio is a different animal, you should do a Google search on that and you'll get a lot of opinions.

Actually, no, as I would prefer to get the rf 70-200mm f2.8L. However if that isn't a possibility then, yes, the rf 24-105mm f4L is a fantastic choice.

Some years, (many years) ago for my professional side I stopped using my wonderful ef 85mm f1.2L or any other so-called portrait lens for the ef 70-200mm f2.8L

Interesting, I would agree. I have the 24-70mm and the 70-200mm but never really had the desire for the 24-105mm. I've used it, it's a decent lens but the two you mentioned work fantastic and there is no gap in the focal lengths. And not by much but the 24-105mm weighs more then the original 70-200mm.
