Absolutely look at he RF100-400 ($650 US), it's light weight and has good range. I carry this lenses for extended periods hiking, is hardly noticeable and takes great images. Another option would be the RF24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM ($800 US).

The image is in a fairly densely forested area on an R6 MKII with the RF100-400.

jrhoffman75 suggested it because it is an RF mount which is what your RP uses so no adapter. I was simply agreeing with his suggestion as it was in line with your desire for more range. Personally I love this lens as an all day carry, it focuses fast and has real nice image quality for a very aggressively priced lens.

Be aware this lens is not super fast and needs light. It will be a bit challenged indoors, early sunset and sunrise. That being said, the image I posted was pretty low light so you can still capture some real nice frames if you know the lenses limitations.

If you decide to go this direction do the membership a favor and tag jrhoffman75 suggestion as a solution. Other members searching the forums can easily find a answer to a similar question.
