Spent 10k on gear now items are showing back ordered after was preparing shipment

Very frustrating! Order r5 ii, 70-200 2.8 USM Z and the 24mm VCM. So close to 10k. Camera came in and I know the 24mm won’t be till December but the 70-200 said it would ship Thursday and started preparing shipment yesterday and today. So I called and lady checked said I was preparing to ship still but not back ordered. Well guess what! Shows back ordered now! Pretty piss poor to do this to people who spend bigger money money and get screwed here. I’m shooting our high school playoff games that I do all 100% free. So now our guys won’t get as good as pictures as I was wanting. Yall need get this addressed. My lord…

You've started with a great camera. The 70-200Z was added to the short supply list almost immediately after pre-orders were initially fulfilled. The 24mm VCM as you know, won't ship until the 12th of next month. If you didn't pre-order you might have to wait a bit for both..

I waited 11 months (purposely) before ordering my 200-800. My order was fulfilled in 59 days. Wasn't bad, but I also didn't need it for anything serious this year. Supply chain shortages are unfortunately a real thing and something you have to account for. Spending 5, 10 or 12k doesn't move you your place up in line. Logistics systems aren't perfect. I'd order from two places and go with whomever fulfills first.

Yep, I’ll be doing that going forward. Yes was preorder 2 weeks before today.

If it was not for my sons team in the playoffs for football I would not care to much. I got the R5ii so it will do better than my R10. Just got to carry that heavy EF one around lol.
