What would be best out of these starting options? I would mainly be using for portraits of family, pictures of my son, some travel and landscapes. At $900 it is a fairly versatile lens with decent IQ. These were both shot using an R6 MkII and the 24-240mm. Both images had to be reduced to post on the site.
