Hi,

Have been trying a used Ef 70-200 2.8 IS II with my R6.

All the images taken with Stabilisation on the lens, are somewhat shaky or blurry. While, if I turn that off, images seem to be sharp.

Also, AF works quick and fine as well expected.

Have anyone else faces similar issues?

Welcome to the Canon Community.

You need to be more detailed with your description of your issue. Can you post a sample image with each lens that demonstrates the issue? Please include the exposure settings and the AF points that were used. Try to tell us how to reproduce the issue. Thanks, in advance.

Hand held. I’ll share more details and sample photos as well though.

Just to mention, even if they are hand held, shutter speed was faster than 1/200 or so. What I noticed that it was not like a blur but no part in the image was in focus, while before pressing the shutter, it was clear cut eye focus in bright outdoor setting.

Hey thestorygrapher,

The tripod question was really aimed at trying to figure out if the IBIS was causing the issue. There have been reports of issues with the R series bodies having challenges when the image stabilization isn't not turned off when mounted on a tripod. Just thought I would ask....

You have not described your shooting scenario, yet. I rarely shoot slower than 1/1000 with this body.

Posting the images here with the same camera body and same EF-RF adapter. I somehow feel the image with 24-105 is sharper than the ones with 70-200. Does anyone else feel the same:

70-200 Stabilization on:

70-200 Stabilization off:

With Canon EF 24-105 f4 IS:

One weird thing I noted in the Exif of all images show AI Servo AF and Panning. Also, I didn't touch any camera setting while changing the lenses

Focus Mode: AI Servo AF
Image Stabilisation: Panning

To be honest, I do not notice any difference neither in these pictures that you posted here or the ones that you posted at https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4773068#forum-post-67874710

In fact, some at dpreview think that the one with IS on is sharper.

My recommendation is to enjoy the lens and your camera. Unless you are planning to print those picture in huge size prints nobody will notice anything. In my opinion.

This type photo should be One shot and you are not panning. The sad truth that nobody wants to know is almost all blurry images are cause by the photographer and not the camera/lens. Most of the time your camera is doing exactly what you told it to do.
