Now I have the R5C and still using it. It's an amazing lens. I've used it professionally for years and it's an absolute beast. Snaps on lightening fast, sharp and never failed me. I tried the R version but the price difference was so much that I couldn't justify an upgrade. If it's you're first time getting a 70-200 then it might make more sense to get the R, only if the price isn't an issue.
