I have the Wimberley WH-200 II and there shouldn't be much difference in the one you have. I use it with my EF 100-400L and RF 100-500L. It looks to me like the tripod foot on the RF 200-800 is a typical Canon foot in the way it attaches to the tripod (I don't have this lens). So, I think you will need the P-20 even though it's for the 100-500, et al. They don't show an AP-606 on their chart. But most of the AP series are for lenses that don't have a foot or just a place to attach a foot. Click one of the AP series and you will see the difference.

Here is a link. Select "Canon", then scroll down through the categories. They don't show the 200-800, but I think the P-20 would work because it's for zooms, which is what I use on my 100-500L. Be mindful that the bigger ones, like the p-40, p-50, etc., are for prime lenses in the 600-1000mm range. You want balance, which can be a chore with a zoom as the balance changes as you zoom. I have mine marked on the mount for various FL's and get perfect balance by sliding my P-20 forwards or back AND by sliding the brace up or down, which I also have marked.

I will add that the P-40 and P-50 would probably work, but as mentioned, they are for primes. I bought the P-20 because it works well with all my other cameras and lenses 🙂

I recommend that you visit the B&H web site and use the search box for “Wimberley AP-606”.

The item is described as a replacement foot. There is a user manual on the product page, which I am certain contains instructions on how to remove the existing foot and install the new one.

Both of my colleagues are correct. You are not going to remove the tripod collar.

Thanks, Waddizle! That would work. But the tripod foot on the RF 200-800 is not removable, so it looks like you just attach it to the existing foot.

Wimberley needs to update their page, the 606 isn't even in their product catalog either. Probably lens specific, but that shouldn't matter, LOL!
