You make it sound like you are starting at the bottom of the learning curve. We would need a few more pieces of info before somone could begin to make any recommendations, beginning with a budget and what lens do you already own for the camera. My gut feeling is you need other accessories before a new lens.

Before you can become a good videographer, it really helps to be a good photographer. You have purchased a hybrid camera, capable of capturing still photos first and foremost and videos as a bonus feature because the hardware is already present. So telling us about your experience with interchangeable lenses cameras would help us advise you with the right amount of technical details.
