topic RF 100-400mm lens Movement inside barrel in EF & RF Lenses

Is it normal that my canon rf 100-400mm lens moves inside? I wanna say its the barrel inside that moves when i shake the lens side to side a little bit. Never paid attention to it until i realized it moved. I don’t know if its because its a longer lens because my 35mm and my 18-45mm kit lens doesn’t do that.

Greetings,

This sounds normal. Its the lens IS. If the lens has not been dropped, it should be nothing to worry about.

In the image, you see the IS system in the red area. Most RF lenses have IS in this section. ( 70-200mm f/2.8 -f/4, 100-500mm) You can see this part move when the lens is shaken. This is a normal situation.
