Depending upon some other details on what you want to capture, I don't think you'll find a single lens. Especially for only 500 or less.

For images of the moon, you really want to look at super telephotos. But those can be quite costly. For the rest of what you want to capture, a telephoto lens should suit your needs.

One lens that is $500 is the RF-S 18-150mm f/3.5 to f/6.3. It would definitely give you a telephoto range. But would still be a bit too short for images of the moon.

I know this has been asked a million times but every always includes their specific they want to do

For me I want to take pictures of Moon, landscape, and nature pictures, I like to go on hikes so I’d like to take pictures there

I currently only have 18- 45mm lens that it came with and I now understand that wasn’t the best choose in lens

What would be a good all around lens that won’t break the bank, that would be good for most of those scenarios for 500 or less?
