No, you'll need to use an EF to RF adapter for using any EF or EF-S lens with any camera that uses RF-mount lenses such as the EOS R7.

The canon r7 says that it is compatible with lenses from the past present and future. I have a canon rebel t7 right now with a Canon EF lens 50mm 1:1.8 STM and I'm thinking about upgrading to the r7. Would this 50mm EF lens work on the r7 without any added adaptations?

Ricky is correct. You would need to use a mount adapter to use any EF/EF-S lens on an RF mount camera body. No adapter is needed with the Rebel T7 because it uses the EF mount directly.
