Hello guys just sold a lens a 28-105 usm lens a old one they started making them in 1992 none (is) lens not L lens its

developed a fault error 01 clean lens contacts message the buyer asking me to advise any one know whats up. When i used film this lens was fine.

Probably his camera. Get it back and try it on your camera if as you say it worked on it. If it doesn't work on your camera it is a throw away. This lens is not Canon's best effort. I had a couple of them I let second shooters do candids with them on Rebels.

BTW, that lens has a big brother the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens. It is a pretty nice, inexpensive, lens. Although it is a bit long on the tooth now. Used several of them in the past.

BTW, you can clean the contacts all you want but that won't help or fix it.
