I think so. The 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II isn't listed on the 1.4X II's compatability list because that lens came out after the TC came out, but I've seen mentions of the two together. e.g. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1172864

Hi Gjov6! You absolutely can use the Extender 1.4X II on your EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens! Confirmed in the manual for the lens on page 14. You can get that manual right here. I hope that helps!
