Actually, the answer to your question is "maybe"... confirm with the seller.

The Sigma 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 DC HSM was made to fit a number of different mounts: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax and Sigma. "DC" indicates it's designed specifically for the so-called APS-C size crop sensor cameras made by all these manufacturers, which includes your Canon camera. "OS" indicates image stabilization, which likely wouldn't be offered for on a lens for Sony or Pentax, because those use a form of stabilization built into the camera, not the lens.

So, a Sigma 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 DC OS HSM might be made for Canon or for Nikon. Be sure to clarify with the seller.

***********

Alan Myers
San Jose, Calif., USA
"Walk softly and carry a big lens."
GEAR: 5DII, 7D(x2), 50D(x3), some other cameras, various lenses & accessories
FLICKR & EXPOSUREMANAGER

Yes, It's discontinued. You can find them online, or maybe used at some of the reputable Photo stores. If you get really lucky, you may find a new one, still on the shelf somewhere.
