No, not with the D30, that will only work with EF lenses.. If you happen to be referring to the 30D, then yes, it would.

The D30 is an old Camera from around the year 2000 . . . .

I'm aware of that. But I'd go so far as to say that at least half the time the term D30 is used around here the person was actually referring to a 30D.
