I've had this printer for a few years now, and overall, i like. Yes, i have experienced the usual problems like sometimes it takes a while to print. But it is the most versatile ink jet i have seen.

But my question is, should i start planning to replace It? I noticed Canon no longer has the cyan ink for it.

Is this a big hint that i need to get rid of it?

The cyan ink is still available in Canon's store. Yes, the standalone cyan is on backorder, but it is available in both combo packs which as of this writing are still in stock. Check out the Supplies & Accessories section, then open Ink from Canon's Product Page.
