G7000 wont print/copy from the front paper tray from the ADF or the platen

no matter how many times I go through settings, attempt to reset through power off and on, opening and closeing the casette I keep getting the 2114 message code and instructions to load the back tray. Go therough the settings - load the back tray- go through the menu off the copy botton - load the back tray. Even when it seems like I got everything set as soon as I try to print it sends the same error code and wants me to use the back tray.
