Canon MX430 series

Help! PLS.. I am using windows 7. the printer dsnt work in my laptop (sony vaio) but its working in my husbands laptop (Asus) same OS.

When i click print it will show the SEND FAX box.

I install the printer twice already I did the first one and then my husband had to reinstall it just to check if i miss anything and its the same it ddnt work out.

Hi Ailene,

If it's coming up with the fax instead of the printer, it may just not be setting the printer as default for some reason. To check this, perform the following steps:

1. Click Start.

2. Click Control Panel.

3. Click Hardware and Sound.

4. Click Devices and Printers.

You should have two seperate entries for PIXMA MX430 Series, one should say 430 series FAX and one should say 430 series Printer. Right click the printer and left click "Set as Default Printer". You should notice a small checkmark appear on the icon indicating it is now the default. Once this is done, go back to your document and try printing again.
