Slow PIXMA G5020

I Purchased this Feb 10, 2021, a Canon PIXMA G5020 MegaTank.

I use it wirelessly and via USB with windows 10 systems in my home. It will print most anything sent to is but occasionally it takes 10 minutes to finish a single page printout. I only use it for color, plain paper at Standard Economy.

We are not overheating it, or running it hard, it can be the first print of the day, for that mater the first within several days. It can print several pages without taking too long then one page will slow it to a crawl.

The drivers are current and the software was installed in February. Printing with different apps, from different websites, PDFs and occasionally, one will just take forever.

Any ideas? Really frustrating.
