PIXMA TR8622a keeps printing blacks as light purple :(

Hi there!

Currently having trouble printing on my glossy paper. I feel as though I've tried everything but the blacks still come up as this light purple color! My nozzle checks are fine. I added an image of the last print I did below. I edited out the faces for privacy reasons -- that is me, not the printer's fault. If you look in the hair, you can see the purple I am talking about. I printed out this test page from the internet and it seems like it only turns purple at 100% Black. Very weird

Things I have tried:

Downloaded Canon's "Easy Photo Print Editor" to print from. Was using Photoshop prior but was worried the color profiles were what was causing the purple.
Changed out the small black ink. This helped a little bit, but did not fix the problem. I read that thesmall black is used on glossy/photo papers, which is why my nozzle checks come out completely fine!
Cleaned and deep cleaned the printer at least a few times.
I've tried changing the quality, comes out purple in all qualities level.
I've tried using different glossy paper, same result.

I would really appreciate any advice on what else I could try. It seems like it's almost there! Trying to print a nice photo for father's day. Thanks for the help!

When your Canon PIXMA TR8622a prints blacks as purple, it means the PGI-280 Pigment Black ink is not hitting the paper, forcing the printer to mix its CLI-281 color dye inks (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow) to mimic black. Because dye ink transitions differently, this composite mixture often creates a noticeable purple or brownish-purple tint.

Fix this issue using the following step-by-step diagnostic process.

Step 1: Print a Nozzle Check Pattern

Before changing any hardware, figure out exactly which black ink tank is failing.

Load a sheet of plain paper in the front cassette.
On your printer's LCD touchscreen, tap the Settings (gear) icon.
Select Maintenance, then choose Nozzle Check.
Look at the printed pattern: Your printer has two types of black. The large PGBK (Pigment Black) bar at the very top is likely missing, streaked, or completely blank.
