My discussion is about the color printer head on a Pixma TS9520 printer.

Hello, I recently needed to clean the printer head. In doing so, I accidently pulled on the bracket at the back end of the cartridge holder, which held the electrical ribbons and indicated which color went where. I can't get it to snap back on and seem to be banging up the power ribbons. There is no discussion anywhere that I can find that illustrates this problem. I don't know how it should re-insert nor how it should hold onto the white ribbons. It will not snap back on to allow the ink cartridge holder to ride freely, side to side. I don't want to damage the ribbons any further. There is also a tension flange that sticks out from it and I can't figure out where that should insert. 😣 Obviously, I could use some thorough instructions on how to re-insert this bracket. Any takers? Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Based on this type of issue, I recommend reaching out to Canon support. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
The real time feedback of a live technical support call would be very beneficial in this case.

We look forward to hearing from you.

This part is usually pre-installed and is not meant to be removed by the user during standard ink replacement. If it has detached, it must be reinstalled behind the ink cartridges into the carriage. Ive been trying to figure out what this part was called for almost 2 years now. Canon doesnt know what part it is or a part number
