I’m having an issue with the Canon Pixma MG2922… the solid amber light turns on when the power cord is plugged in and the solid green light joins the solid amber light upon turning on the printer. I’m using both a iPhone SE 2020 using Software Version 15.2.1 and iPad Air A2588 using iPad OS Version 18.7.2. I bought this almost new, hardly used Canon Pixma MG2922 secondhand from another person.

I searched the community first and found a person having exactly the same problem as I’m having. See this link for details https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Desktop-Inkjet-Printers/Canon-PIXMA-MG2922-Solid-Orange-Alarm-Light/td-p/331679 to refer to the page I found concerning the solid amber and solid green lights. Please guide me as to what I should do. Thanks!

I neglected to say this was the very first time I plugged in the printer. Just to recap, I plugged the power cable to the electrical outlet and printer, and the solid amber light came on. When I pressed the power button, the solid green light joined the solid amber light with no movement of the scanner or ink carriage. Pressing the power button to turn off the printer, the printer won't shut off and both the solid amber and green lights stay on.

When disconnecting the power cable, should I unplug it from both the electrical outlet and the printer? Upon opening the print cover, I don't see any foreign objects or debris. While the printer is disconnected from the power cable, should I try to move the ink carriage back and forth to see what happens?
