Hi. I see that you are going to leave the printer for 6 months and you would like to know how to prepare the ink so it doesn't dry out. Canon's recommendation is to use the printer at least once a month. Once the ink is taken out of its airtight packaging, it is hard to keep the nozzles from drying.

If you must leave the printer off for 6 months, we recommend that you do the following:

Press the power button to turn the printer off.

Wait for the power lamp to stop flashing.

Once the printer has fully shut down, disconnect the power cable.

When you do the above, the printer will automatically cap the inks to help prevent clogs. This information and more can be found in the section of the manual that discusses transporting the printer: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/MG3600%20series/EN/BG/bg-tips7000.html

If the nozzles do dry out a little, you can perform a cleaning or deep cleaning to clear them. We do recommend spacing out the cleanings (4-6 hours apart) to give the ink time to soak through the clog and loosen it. For information on cleaning the nozzles, you can go to this section of the manual: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/All/MG3600%20series/EN/BG/bg-maintenance1000.html

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing Canon.
