I needed to order Canon 251 GY (Grey) for a commercial job. I clicked on the correct ink and then wanted to order 2. What I didnt notice is that when the 2 photos of the ink came up, it was the incorrect ink. It was black ink, not grey. So I looked at Amazon's website again and sure enough, if I ordered 1 GY ink, the order was fine, but if I ordered 2, it changed to black ink, which is what they are sending me and I dont need. I dont know who's in charge of Amazon's products pages, but this is costing someone money (on returns) and me time that I dont have. I even made a video showing what is happening: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMiEwRtQG-4

I have run into this situation with many things on Amazon. When it says "available options" something other than the number of items changes. Were you able to cancel the order?

The guy I talked to said "no", so now Amazon must pay for a return. This wasnt necessary if the website worked properly. Meanwhile, I'm 2 to 3 more days behind in my work.

Apparently even though they said they couldnt stop the order, they must have because the black ink never showed up, but the Grey did. I even got a call from Amazon explaining that there was nothing wrong with the website, and this was standard. I told them that if the second product was obviously something different, I would have caught it, but showing almost the exact same item would confuse a lot of people in a hurry. Besides, I told them, what was the point of even doing this? I have ordered many items where I needed 2 and never had a problem before. And why force customers to double check the item at checkout where you CAN then order 2? This is just stupid all the way around.

Buying genuine Canon ink from Amazon doesn't offer much if any benefit over direct from Canon or other dealers, such as B&H Photovideo, www.inktechnologies.com/,

Have you compared?

No, but I have spent many thousands of dollars with Amazon and had no problems. I also limit my credit card exposure as much as possible.
