    <description>&lt;P&gt;My Canon printer all of a sudden stopped recongnizing the ink cartridge.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;As suggested, I cleaned the contacts on the cartridge, installed brand new cartridges (240XL and 241XL) and also did a printer reset and it is still giving me that error.&amp;nbsp; How do I fix this?&amp;nbsp; Using the same cartridges that I've always use.&amp;nbsp; &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":disappointed_face:"&gt;😞&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Are they Canon cartridges, not third party? You cleaned the contacts on the Cartridge, try cleaning the contacts inside the printer's cartridge compartments.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The model number is 3620.&amp;nbsp; As for the cartridges, they are not canon but I have been using this brand since getting the printer a year ago. Infact, the new cartridge that I tried installing was from the same box/lot number as the one that was in the machine (and working fine) ....until the error code came up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="20260328_133856.jpg" style="width: 132px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/74474iE72CB09085C1B190/image-dimensions/132x176?v=v2" width="132" height="176" role="button" title="20260328_133856.jpg" alt="20260328_133856.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I suggest you try a Canon Cartridge, it appears to me that a chip possibly blew in one of your cartridges. It is not unheard of that a Canon printer will work with an off brand cartridge for some time and then sense it is not a Canon cartridge and quit printing.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
