PIXMA TR8622a will scan but won't save to computer

I open the canon print app and select scan. It scans the document and the preview pops up on the screen. I have it set to PDF format. Then when I click Save and the Save As pops up for my folder. I select the destination folder and hit save. The pop up leaves. However, when I go to my folder, it hasn't saved. On the Canon print app, it is still showing the preview and the option to save. If I click the back button the pop-up shows "This scan result will be discarded. Please confirm." with Yes or No, as if it never saved to begin with. I have tried resetting the computer and the printer. I even unadded the printer from my devices and readded it. With no luck, I still have the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try saving directly to your desktop, no folder, easy to find if it is there.

What computer operating system are you using (e.g. macOS 26, Windows 11, etc)?
