The problem persists even with only cable connection, that's why I find it weird and also I have used other printers with bidirectional support.

The bidirectional support in general works on this printer (showing ink levels etc) it just bugs when trying to print probably.

Pixma TS5350i says "processing, please wait momentarily" when trying to print anything from PC.

I've bought a Canon TS5350i printer some days ago, in the first 3 days it was working fine (even though I thought it was a little slow). 2 days ago at night I copied and printed a photo, then I tried to print another one and boom, the message showed up. I tried again and again, i tried again with documents instead of photos for at least 10 times. I left the printer showing the message and waited for 30 minutes to see if it would print after the "processing" would end, still nothing. I said let it rest overnight and see if it works tomorrow.

So yesterday in the morning I tried again with the photo, and the document and guess what... The same message showed up. I tried printing wirelessly with the phone and for some reason worked, I tried copying and printing directly from the printer and it worked, the only thing that wasn't working was normal printing from PC (neither with cable or with wifi)

So I grab the printer and go to the store that I bought it, I tell them the story and he looks at me weird and says "this is probably a connection problem and you should probably reinstall drivers but we will test it anyways", two hours later they tell me they didn't find a problem and it works normally. I took it back and tried after completely deleting and reinstalling the drivers, first try printing a document it works, I say finally it probably was the drivers. Then I go on to print the photo that I tried yesterday and.... Again the message. I try with documents and still the same. I searched windows events and the only think that came up was the error 372 code 6, searched it and didn't find a fix.

I spent 3 hours searching and trying from PC with cable, from PC with wifi, reinstalling drivers 5 times and the problem persisted but still the printer worked normally from phone and copying. After searching chatgpt over and over again it gives me a solution that says it's weird but works sometimes, to turn off bidirectional support, I do it and the printer works normally, prints photos, documents and everything. Then I tested it again with bidirectional on and the problem came again.

I use windows 11 by the way.

So why did it work normally on the first 3 days? Why doesn't it work with bidirectional on? It doesn't seem normal. Is it a printer problem and should I beg the store to take it back? Or is it a pc/drivers problem? I will also try with another PC later.

I have always used bi-directional printing for the many printers I have owned over the years, HP, Brother, Canon, and it has always worked unless I set the printer to wireless. Then trouble begins. Disable bi-directional and you lose ink level indications, printer spooling starts to jam up, (this takes some time) things of that nature because windows cannot "sense" the printer status. For me the answer is to use a USB/printer cable or ethernet connection, if the printer has one, always if you can.

Hi there.

This model isn't supported by Canon USA, however, it sounds like your computer may be confused as to how to connect to your printer. Go to https://ij.start.canon/TS5350i from the computer you want to use the printer. It will uninstall any existing software and re-install the current, correct software.

You cannot use WiFi and USB at the same time, so if your printer is plugged in by USB and you want to use WiFi, unplug the printer from your computer before you start.
