Common Causes for Slow Processing in the ImagePROGRAF Pro 300

Large Data Files

Printing documents with many photographs or illustrations can slow down processing. The printer and computer need extra time to handle large data files.

Continuous Printing

If the printer has been in use for an extended period, it may pause to prevent overheating. This is normal and allows the printer to cool down before continuing.

Paper and Ink Considerations

Using plain paper for high-ink documents may cause the printer to pause temporarily. This is to allow the ink to dry properly before proceeding.

Troubleshooting Steps

Check Paper Loading

Ensure that the paper is correctly loaded in the printer. Incorrect loading can lead to processing delays.

Wait for Completion

If the printer seems to be processing for a long time, it may just be working through a large job. Wait until the process is complete before taking further action.

Restart the Printer

If processing does not resume after a long wait, turn off the printer, wait a few moments, and then turn it back on to reset the system.

You might consider connecting your printer to your computer by a USB/printer cable to help troubleshoot this issue.

Hi!

I am in absolute struggle and crisis over how to fix my printer. I spent yesterday printing for a while with zero issues and then randomly it mid printed my image and cancelled the printing. The issue is it begins saying "Processing...Please wait a moment" for upwards of 40 minutes before resetting. I had to turn it off one of the time because it wouldn't get out of that screen. I have fully turned the printer off, unplugged it, clicked the on button 5 times to drain the power. I have left it unplugged for well over 10 minutes before trying again. I unconnected and reconnected it to my wifi incase that was the issue for communication with the printer. I also have tested the wifi strength at its at 100% (My router is maybe 5 feet from the printer)

I'm wondering what I can do to fix this? I've only had the printer for about a year and a half, do regular print head and maintenance cleaning. I've never seen a printer just lag on processing. I usually print from my phone or IPad on wireless connection with zero issues.

Please help ;-; Do I need a new printer? Is this screen like the blue screen of death for laptops? How do I fix this?
