    <description>&lt;P&gt;Updated to mac os Tahoe 26.3 (just now, after I complained), cleared the print queue, sent a test print which failed. Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer (several times). The scanner is also not responding.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Sure does sound like a driver issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Apple lists Canon Printer Drivers v3.4 for OSX Lion (v10.7) and later, but confusingly says "not compatible with macOS v12 and newer.)&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://support.apple.com/en-us/106410" target="_blank"&gt;https://support.apple.com/en-us/106410&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Past discussion on this forum says that canon just doesn't support newer drivers, which sounds exactly like planned obsolescence, since the printer was working fine 'before' (with the 'before' being entirely unclear since I didn't do any updates until I started having problems.&amp;nbsp; Installing an older but similar driver:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer/products/printers/pixma/mg-series/pixma-mg3640.html?type=drivers&amp;amp;detailId=tcm:14-1754245&amp;amp;os=macOS%2012%20(Monterey)&amp;amp;productTcmUri=tcm:14-1280421" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer/products/printers/pixma/mg-series/pixma-mg3640.html?type=drivers&amp;amp;detailId=tcm:14-1754245&amp;amp;os=macOS%2012%20(Monterey)&amp;amp;productTcmUri=tcm:14-1280421&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And it still throws a paper jam error with a really clean printer:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is so stupid.&amp;nbsp; Looks like I need to buy a new printer.       <title>I have TWO PIXMA MG3620 printers that suddenly stopped working. Planned Obsolescence?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I have not one, but TWO Pixma MG3620s of an *ahem* vintage age, but they suddenly BOTH stopped working. One is flashing amber three times and one is flashing amber two times. Both are "printer jam" type errors.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have disassembled one, and cleaned the rollers on both, reloaded the printers onto my system (one wifi, the other direct USB plugs), installed the Canon IJ Network Tool and driver, and they STILL won't print.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The access log says "localhost - myusername [23/Feb/2026:15:44:02 -0800] "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 448 CUPS-Get-Document successful-ok&lt;BR /&gt;The error log says "E [23/Feb/2026:15:15:54 -0800] [Job 231] Unable to queue job for destination "Canon_MG3600_series"."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Earlier today it was spitting out:&lt;BR /&gt;E [23/Feb/2026:14:27:44 -0800] Ignoring empty "marker-names" attribute&lt;BR /&gt;E [23/Feb/2026:14:32:00 -0800] [Job 233] Unable to send data to printer.&lt;BR /&gt;E [23/Feb/2026:14:32:00 -0800] [Job 233] No pages found!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
