PIXMA G620 color mismatch

I have a PIXMA G 620 printer. It prints normally anything that has a good mix of colors in the image. When there is a dominant blue, the prints come out magenta red, when there is a dominant green, there is a yellow cast. Is this a color management issue or a driver issue? Any ideas on a correction? The images are processed in Adobe Express Photos or Photoshop Elements 2021.

When the colors of an image are not printed as expected, it is recommended that the Maintenance Procedure linked below is followed to resolve this issue:

G620 > Maintenance > If Printing Is Incorrect > Maintenance Procedure

Might your printouts look similar to this?

If so double color management is likely the cause. If not you may want to perform a nozzle check pattern to ensure correct ink delivery.

After re-reading your post, I noticed you mentioned the problem you are having is not consistent. Double color management occurs when both the application you are printing from and the printer driver are trying to control the color profile the printer is using to interpret color. To correct, you have to allow one or the other to control the color profile being used. The application you are printing from, or the printer driver.

It would worth following Patrick's recommendation above. I would also perform a nozzle test pattern.
