Issue Overview

When using the Canon PIXMA iP110 printer with a Mac, some users experience a problem where documents print in the upper left corner of the page instead of being centered or properly aligned. This can occur with various document sizes and types.

Possible Causes

Printer Settings

Page Setup: Ensure that the correct printer model is selected in the Page Setup dialog. If another printer is selected, it may cause misalignment.

Print Scaling: Check if the print scaling options are set to "Fit to Page" or similar. Incorrect scaling can lead to documents being printed in the wrong area.

To adjust the page setup for the PIXMA iP110 on macOS, open the print dialog in your application, then select the "Page Setup" tab. Here, you can choose the paper size, orientation, and other layout options to customize your print settings.

Software Issues

Driver Compatibility: Make sure you are using the latest printer driver for your Mac OS version. An outdated driver can lead to printing issues.

Application Settings: Different applications may have their own print settings. Verify that the settings in the application you are using (like Pages or Preview) are correct.

Troubleshooting Steps

Check Printer Driver: Download and install the latest driver from Canon's website.

Adjust Page Setup: Open the document, go to File > Page Setup, and select the PIXMA iP110. Ensure the paper size matches the loaded paper.

Reset Printing System: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click on the printer list, and select "Reset printing system." Then, re-add the printer.

Test with Different Applications: Try printing from different applications to see if the issue persists across all of them.

Check for Updates: Ensure your Mac OS is up to date, as updates can fix bugs related to printing.

PIXMA IP110 Printing in Upper Left Corner

When printing to my Pixma ip110 I have run into a problem when I print from a website (ex. like my banking site). The page prints in the upper left hand corner of a quarter of the page. I have looked at the dialogue box for printing and made sure that things are set correctly for letter size, margins, and such. The preview shows it filling the entire page.

If I print to PDF and then print the PDF it works fine.

When printing the test page form the utility it printed to the upper left hand corner

I am using Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1

I am connecting via USB cable.

Any help would be great. Thank you.
