Looks to me like one end connects to the bottom of the white foot on the left and the other end inside the square park just to the right of it? What does the part you pulled out still out?

Something was stuck in the paper loader so I pulled out that part and then a spring came loose and I'm not sure where it goes.

Thanks for joining the conversation, Gngrsnp!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the iX6800 series. The model number should appear on the front of the printer at the upper left. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!

Greetings,

It might be helpful to contact the Canon Parts Dept. Maybe they can help you identify the part?

Ordering parts for your product https://share.google/loGskYImewTfaecMf

1-866-481-2569. The hours of operation are 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. EST from Monday to Friday. When calling, speak the term "order parts" when the speech routing system asks the reason for your call. You will immediately be routed to the Parts Desk for assistance.

The parts order desk is a resource for US-based products.
