Canon TR8620. Cartridge C (blue) was unavailable at my local Staples so I bought PB (photo blue). My printer will not recognize the cartridge and keeps popping up with 168c error as if it’s installed incorrectly. It is not, I’ve tripled checked. Anyway to override the color difference verses overriding the entire $30 cartridge?

I'm afraid printer cartridges are not interchangeable. You can't buy another color or model just because the one you need is not in stock.

You have to use the cartridges intended for your printer and in the position it was intended. The cartridge that you purchased cannot be made to work.
