so on 12-9-2025 i bought this ip 8720 printer. it is on my home network and does show uo on my iPhone 17. However it crumples the new paper up on the right side looking at it from the front and therefore doesn't print. SOOOOOO i load the paper to the right (out of center deliberately) it will print but obviously off center, but it prints the page. also from my mac book pro wired it will also print only off centered. but when i try to print from my iPhone it sends a page thru blank.... WTF goes with this printer?

i recycled the box so i guess I'm stuck with this POS printer

Make sure that there is not a piece of packing tape still in the printer especially on the right side and none on the print head or cartridges. Some drivers are very sensitive to paper positioning.

i triple checked all the cartridges and quadruple checked the viewable areas in the paper feed areas that are viewable. i also cleaned the roller and anything i can access. still nothing. This Canon is a $300 anchor. i need to find a way to hook a chain to it and dump it in the ocean, but i will remove all the ink so i protect the fish

Seems to me it has a mechanical problem caused by a broken roller guide or some essential small part that is not easily seen. I hope you can return it being that it is less than a month old.
