topic PIXMA G6020 not printing, colors are nearly invisible in Desktop Inkjet Printers

Printing a document in color today worked fine for a dozen pages, and then the first bad page started fine but by the end of page only magenta was printing. With more attempts only yellow printed and finally nothing, A nozzle check showed black was fine but all colors were nearly invisible. I tried CLEAN and then DEEP CLEAN and finally INK FLUSH with no change. I tried printing text in B/W and that also showed nothing despite the nozzle check still showing black (only). I removed the color print head and flushed it with warm water but no change. The ink lines are filled with ink but it seems there is no flow. I would be glad to replace the print head if I thought it would fix the problem but I doubt it.

You may need to perform and ink flush to clear the ink lines and refill them:

Make sure printer is turned on.

Press Setup button.
The Setup menu screen appears.

Select Maintenance and press the OK button.

Select Ink Flush and pressthe OK button.

Select All colors, Color or BK and press the OK button.

Check displayed message and press the OK button.

Check displayed message, select Yes and then press the OK button.

Check displayed message, select Yes and then press the OK button.
The Ink flush process begins.

If you want to perform an ink flush from your pc this is a video guide to do so:

https://youtu.be/jHq5ycyIMFg

The ink flush process is designed to clear clogged print heads and restore print quality. It uses a significant amount of ink, so it should only be performed when necessary.

After the Ink Flush:

Check Print Quality
After completing the flush, print a nozzle check pattern to see if the print quality has improved.

Repeat if Necessary
If the print quality does not improve, you may need to perform the flush again after waiting 24 hours.

Important Considerations

Frequent ink flushing can rapidly deplete your ink supply.

If issues persist after multiple flushes, the print head may be worn or the ink may have run out.
