How to make my PIXMA MP495 work? Forgot how to use it.

I haven't used my printer for awhile and I forgot how to use it. I have the wires connected from computer to printer and plug in wall but when I click PRINT, it says to SAVE which I already did and Won't Print! Can someone help me?

Your computer is trying to “print” to a file instead of the printer. Check your printer settings and make sure the correct printer is selected (not “Print to PDF” or “Save as”). Also confirm the printer is powered on and set as the default printer, then try printing again.
