This forum is not a good bet to get IMMEDIATE, "I need to know something TODAY" help. That's why there is Canon phone support. We are all just users, like you. We aren't Canon Support.

With no info provided to us about what printer or computer, being specific is not possible. But it is common for printers to not want to print AT ALL if one color of ink is depleted. Not just a Canon thing. Canon Support can tell you if you can get around this. maybe as simple as selecting the "B&W Only" or "Grayscale" option when printing.

I needed to print something TODAY and even if the black ink is full, I get fade printing because the color is low. This is bizarre. I will never buy canon again, or any other printer brand that will compromise my time because of selling some ink. I print tons of stuff and they don't even make much money from me buying color, I print mostly black and white. PATHETIC SELLINGS STRATEGY.

This older thread has a few potential workarounds - sounds like Canon isn't the only printer company where this is true - https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Desktop-Inkjet-Printers/out-of-color-ink-but-won-t-let-me-print-black-and-white/td-p/260479
