&lt;P&gt;The warranty period varies by model.&amp;nbsp; These details can be provided if you provide the model number of your printer.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A device can be registered without a receipt.&amp;nbsp; However, since the warranty only applies to the original purchaser and for a specific period, you could be asked to provide&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;appropriate documentation&lt;/STRONG&gt; to receive warranty.&amp;nbsp; This is outlined in the warranty terms below.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Example:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the service or exchange is performed, and (1) the Product malfunction is not covered by this limited warranty, or (2) the applicable &lt;BR /&gt;warranty period has expired or has not been sufficiently established by appropriate documentation, then you will be charged for such &lt;BR /&gt;service at the then current service rates of Canon USA or the Service Provider, or for such exchange, as applicable.&lt;/P&gt;
