Greetings ,

I didn't get any hits when I searched for MX290. This model could easily be 10 to 15 years old. If it's malfunctioning just by your pressing buttons. I wouldn't waste my time time troubleshooting. I'm not sure what you did to "clear memory". Bottom line, the printer is no longer supported, is not serviceable and honestly is not worth one's time or expense. Without support, service or parts, there isn't much you can do.

Greetings,

My response to your other thread applies here as well. MX920/922 is a 12 yr old device. I would take advantage of the upgrade program offered by @Danny.

What do you mean by "old data"? The machine does not store files that have previously been printed. If it did, they wouldn't show up when copying.

Are you seeing lines from FAXES? Again, these shouldn't be showing up when copying. Consult the user guide to see about clearing fax data.

Hi, Rick! It looks like the info about the Canon Upgrade Program was from you in the old thread, not me. Credit where it's due! While that thread has been removed, I've fished out your reply and added it to this thread to make sure that information's still available.
