Do you mean scanning, not copying? A scanning program lets you choose what kind of file format to scan to....jpeg, bmp, tiff, pdf, etc. Copying does not do that at all.

JPEG, BMP, TIFF are photo files. PDF is an image file readable with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. It's not a text file.

What software are you using to scan?

If you want to scan text pages into an editable text file, you need an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) application.

The machine copies all text material as a photo. Is there a fix for this? If you have an answer I would appreciate it if posted here and sent to me by email if allowed: <personal info removed per Community policy>

Thank you

What do you mean by "prints like jpeg" ? Copying does not transform the original. It prints onto paper.

SCANNING TO A FILE is what converts to a JPEG, PDF or other file format. Like a text file if you have OCR software.
