    <description>&lt;P&gt;I get that I can not print without ink, but why does the unit have to also block functions that do not require ink? Super annoying when the nearest shop with ink is a 2 hour drive away. I have only used the printer for scanning lately and don't care if everything else is disabled until I get new cartridges.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I get that I can not print without ink, but why does the unit have to also block functions that do not require ink?       <description>&lt;P&gt;The printer is a Pixma MX 925.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I found instructions to temporarily disable the empty cartridge sensor on some models, but none that will work for this printer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The printer has scanner and fax functionality which does not need ink to work.&amp;nbsp; Even black/white and grayscale printing should be possible on this printer if one or more color-cartridges are empty.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
