PIXMA TS5120 won't import scan as a Word document anymore

I have a PIXMA TS5120 and when I would scan it would import as a word document, now all of a sudden it imports as a PDF. I want it to go back to scanning as a word document I have gone to settings and "unchecked" create a PDF file .... and that does not work. Any suggestions?
