Is there any way to make this setting the default across applications? I have this unchecked in the printer settings, but when I print from an application, it always defaults to "On." So every time I print something, I have to go through the extra steps to go to additional settings and change it or my print is totally faded out.

I never would have purchased this printer if I knew I had to go through this garbage. And of course, Canon takes a page from HP's book and makes it impossible to talk to anyone to get support.

I purchased a Canon Pixma G7020 and set it up today. The setup and instructions were flawless. However, printing looks faded. The colors are not vibrant at all. Black prints gray and other prints are very faded. I tried a CMYK calibration PDF page and it looks pretty ok, black is still a bit faded.

How to troubleshoot?

Mauri

Thanks for the reply, it already has borderless selected. If there is a different way to configure the driver, please let me know. I was checking out the device manager but see no options.

I do not have Borderless Printing checked. I cleaned the nozzle and helped a bit. The colors do not compare to the vibrant colors of my old HP which finally quit working so decided to try something new with the Canon. I'll do some color comparisons when I find a printer to compare but not sold on this yet.

I have the same issue. Borderless printing causes anything printed to be dull and faded. Sadly Canon has not fixed the issue, and now I feel like I wasted my money on a printer I can't use for my purposes.

I am having problems printing emails. First use was fine all of a sudden heading and text not showing on printouts. Tried driver reinstall, Outlook app reinstall, and contacts windows support on the problem. No fix. Using Windows 11 and the issue is not resolved.

2. Press the right arrow 4 times to select Maintenance and press the OK button.

3. Nozzle Check will appear. Press the OK button.

A test page will print. Please take a picture of the page that printed and attach that image to your reply of this post.
