    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have to say this product is a 50 dollar paper weight!! i cant get it to even go into factory setup! This is not the first cannon i have bought its about the 4th!! they all have mysteriously died after the first set of ink cartridge dies!!Im not even trying to use the printer im trying to just use the scanner!! I have a blinking E 0 4 No clue how to get this pos to accept any command!!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi thanks for that info… as I’m not trying to use the printer function rather just the scanner I would think that I would not need ink cartridge… The ones I have are empty and I can’t see spending 20 bucks for each ink cartridge for a half ass printer that jams easily refuses to take paper, or comes up with errors from hell pardon my French!!! Can I disable the printer function to use just scanner?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately not.&amp;nbsp; You'd have to buy a dedicated scanner to have a single function device.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
