A number of unsuspecting users on this forum have discovered this. Here's what Canon says:</P> <P><A href="https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART143753" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART143753</A></P> <P>This model is not considered a "photo printer" compared to models that have separate color cartridges, and two blacks. Printing 8.5x11 photos would burn up the color inks in the small-capacity three-color cartridges at an alarming rate.
