PIXMA iP110 - ink type

Could you tell me whether the #35 & #36 ink for the Pixma iP110 printer is dye-based or pigment-based? I need to clean the ink housing & a different solution is required for the 2 ink types.

Thanks for joining the conversation, RichardJohn! The PGI-35 black ink tank contains pigment-based ink and the CLI-36 color ink tank contains dye-based ink.

Would this be appropriate for cleaning the iP110 ink cartridge carrier?

We cannot comment on 3rd party items, as they have not been tested by us, nor are they manufactured by us. We do not recommend this type of thing for our printers, since we cannot guarantee how it works or if it will damage the unit.
